Boys School Awards Evening

Madani Boys School Awards Evening - Thursday 6th October 2016

On Thursday 6thOctober, Madani Boys School held their annual awards evening for 2015/16. The event celebrated the academic achievements across subject areas of students from all year groups including those who have moved on earlier this year. The evening commenced with a Year 11 pupil reciting a passage from the holy Quran.

We were privileged to have an ex-student Mohammed Abid Shah who left school in 2008. He is currently a Regional Fundraising Exec for Human Appeal – a charity that raised £30m last year. He is also Vice-President of FOSIS (Federation of Student Islamic Societies) – the biggest Muslim student organisation in the UK.

It was exciting to hear about the achievements of last year's Year 11 students, many of whom achieved all A*-B grades in their GCSEs, as they were presented with their trophies.A special award was also given for 'Islamic Character' to honour an excellent role model who has demonstrated his commitment and dedication through his outstanding character.

Overall, a very 'glamorous' and 'lovely' evening shared by staff, parents, governors, community leaders but most importantly, our students.
